VENICE EVENT : "Iridescence Culture or how to be a complete
foreigner" by Laure Molina in collaboration with M3Diag
The initial question of the project : what is the state of ecology and environment since the significant gesture of Uriburu in 1968 and how do we perceive its evolution?
Laure Molina diffracted the coloring of the water of three different canals in Venice, into 6 shades, from non-toxic organic and chemical pigments. Once dissolved in water, the pigment molecules absorb light and become excited at a higher energy level. Returning to their original state, the molecules emit a longer wavelength, producing a much stronger, brighter light. in order to emphasize that the problem of ecology has become more complex and must be considered on different levels that everyone can appropriate.
Her action, totally ecological, reveals the contradictions and complexities of contemporary society in terms of environment and ecology, hoping to achieve an opening, if not a balance, between industry, economy, politics, science, culture and living beings.
With this action, She is also formalizing her artwork as the culture of iridescence. Twenty years of exploration come to fruition.
